When my husband Ben and I got engaged, it was both our first time in front of a camera. Going into it, I was nervous and just hoped I wasn’t going to be awkward. But thankfully, we had amazing photographers! They were confident in their direction, encouraging and we had so much fun! I believe it’s so important to have a relationship with your photographer. On wedding or session day, they need to feel like an old friend. This is going to directly affect how comfortable you feel in front of the camera!
My name is Claire and I'm a wedding and motherhood photographer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Photography brings me so much joy and I can't wait to share it with you! Taking photos started back in grade school, when I would take photos and enter them in contests at my county fair. My camera would come on all the family vacations and in early college I received my first "professional" camera. I never missed an opportunity to take photos of my friends and other random school events. It wasn't until after I received our wedding gallery that I started to consider photography as a full-time gig. I was absolutely stunned by the beautiful photos and how magical they made the day look.
You will soon come to know that I love people so much. Community is one of the most important things to me and I deeply value the friendships in my life. My hope is that you also feel like I can be a friend to you in whatever season of life has brought you here.
