Beautiful Southern Minnesota Wedding | Chris and Blair
Chris and Blair had a beautiful southern Minnesota wedding and it was extra special. As Chris is my brother-in-law, having the opportunity to photograph a family wedding added an extra layer of joy to the day. Watching Chris, who has felt a bit like an older brother to me, make a lifelong commitment to Blair was so sweet to witness.
Their love story is right out of a movie. They hit it off at a wedding, where Chris knew the groom and Blair was friends with the bride. Throughout their relationship, they managed to navigate long-distance challenges, making their beautiful southern Minnesota wedding all the more perfect.
The couple chose Almquist Farm as their venue, and it was the perfect setting for a summer wedding. The quiet ambiance, with goats and chickens roaming freely, and lush greenery made the perfect backdrop. Watching my nieces and nephews interact with the farm animals was so cute! You’ll have to take a look for yourself.
Chris and Blair surrounded themselves with their favorite people on their big day, which made the celebration even more joyful. My husband, Ben, served as the best man, adding an extra layer of fun to the occasion. During bridal party photos, the couple playfully “iced” the groomsmen, setting the tone for a lively celebration.
The ceremony was beautiful, and I was particularly loved the incorporation of a Korean wedding tradition that honored Blair and her culture. It added a meaningful touch, emphasizing the couple’s commitment to blending their lives and backgrounds.
As the evening progressed, the speeches provided plenty of laughs, especially when Ben took the opportunity to roast his older brother. It was a perfect ending to a beautiful southern Minnesota wedding. Cheers to the new Kirbys! Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and happiness!
