I love being a Minneapolis newborn photographer! I have the incredible privilege to document these special seasons of life and I couldn’t be more honored. Baby Lyla’s newborn session was no exception! It was a dream! I knew Kelly and Dalton from some church connections and when I heard they were having a baby girl, I was so excited! They are two of the kindest people and they are incredible parents!

Maple Grove, Minnesota Studio

This sweet newborn session took place at Rachel Kathleen’s Luxury Studio in Maple Grove. This modern, naturally light, Parisian-inspired studio was the perfect location for this session. Kelly utilized my wardrobe styling assistance and I purchased her beautiful Stella dress from Baltic Born. All their dresses are to die for! Lyla stayed cozy in a simple white swaddle and Dalton looked sharp in a white button down and tan pants.

Sweet baby Lyla was awake almost the entire time! One thing to note with newborn sessions is to always be prepared to flow with what baby wants to do! Even though I highly recommend feeding baby right before you come to the session, I’ll still schedule in plenty of time for a nursing break during our session in case your little one gets hungry. I know it can be stressful, but try not to worry! You’d be surprised how many photos we will capture during your session- regardless of how fussy the baby is being! You can rest assured that we will get beautiful images! 

I was so honored to capture this sweet season for these first time parents. It was so much fun to be a part of and the baby cuteness made it even better!
